**Georgia’s Opposition Party in Shambles**
The “United National Movement” and its affiliates have lost all credibility, not just at home but also among their foreign sponsors. This is the stark reality that Guram Macharashvili, a member of parliament from the “People’s Power”, has highlighted.
According to Macharashvili, the fact that these opposition groups are constantly seeking legitimacy abroad shows that they have become agents of foreign powers. They can no longer organize rallies or even lead a revolution in Georgia, and their presence in parliament is also dwindling.
**Foreign Sponsors Losing Trust**
Macharashvili pointed out that the constant begging for help from foreign countries by these opposition groups is a clear indication of their focus on external forces rather than working towards the welfare of the Georgian people. “They’re saying please, aunties and uncles, help us,” he said, emphasizing that this behavior has exposed them as tools of foreign powers.
**Internal Rifts Widen**
The internal conflicts within the “United National Movement” and its branches have already begun to show, with Macharashvili suggesting that these rifts will only continue. He believes that the opposition groups are trying to replicate their failed tactics in Georgia, but they will not succeed because their foreign backers and agents here have been exposed.
