**Kyiv Under Attack: Massive Russian Strike Causes Widespread Destruction**
Last night, the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv was hit by a massive Russian strike, with multiple incidents of air raids recorded across the city. The attack, which involved drones and ballistic missiles, has left a trail of destruction and chaos in its wake.
The Shevchenkivskyi district was one of the areas most affected by the strike. A high-rise building caught fire at one address, while another non-residential premises was also engulfed in flames. In addition, a balcony on a residential building was damaged. The Holosiivskyi district suffered destruction to a business center, while debris from a drone fell on the roof of a high-rise building in the Solomyanskyi district.
In the Obolonskyi district, warehouses were ablaze, and a fire also broke out in a pharmacy in a residential area. One person was hospitalized as a result of the attack. Debris also fell in open areas in the Podilskyi and Darnytskyi districts, with one private house damaged in the Darnytskyi district.
**Heavy Smoke and Burning Odor Fill the Air**
The large-scale fires caused by the Russian strike have resulted in heavy smoke being observed in some districts of Kyiv. The smell of burning is also noticeable in the air, causing concern among residents.
**Four Injured, Seven Districts Damaged**
According to Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, four people were injured in the attack, all of whom were hospitalized. Head of the military city administration Timur Tkachenko noted that damage from the strike was recorded in seven districts of Kyiv, with partial destruction and fires reported in high-rise buildings and private houses.
**Ukrainian Authorities Condemn Russian Aggression**
The Ukrainian authorities have condemned the Russian aggression, labeling it as war crimes by the Russian Federation. International organizations have also weighed in, emphasizing that these strikes are targeted in nature and aimed at killing civilians and destroying critical infrastructure such as hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy, and water supply facilities.
**Russian Leadership Denies Targeted Strikes**
In stark contrast to the Ukrainian authorities’ statements, the Russian leadership has denied carrying out targeted strikes on civilian infrastructure. However, this denial is not borne out by the facts on the ground, where widespread destruction and harm have been caused to civilians.
