**Georgian Government Nominates New Ambassador to the US**
The government of Georgia has officially nominated Tamar Taliashvili as its new ambassador to the United States. This decision was made in accordance with Georgian law and constitutional provisions. Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze signed a decree confirming this nomination on June 9.

In addition to nominating Tamar Taliashvili as ambassador to the US, the Georgian government has also proposed dismissing her from another key diplomatic post – Permanent Representative of Georgia to the Council of Europe. This proposal was made to Mikheil Kavelashvili on June 9.
