**Ukraine’s Emergency Service Employees Share Hospital Photos After Russian Attack**
Yesterday, June 6, was a dark day for Ukraine. A massive Russian attack on Kyiv left three State Emergency Service (SES) rescuers dead and many others injured. Among those hurt were two members of the SES press service – Pavlo Petrov, head of the SES press center, and Inna Zhelchyk, a press officer.
These brave individuals have now shared photos from their hospital beds, giving the world a glimpse into the devastating consequences of the attack. According to Rubryka, Pavlo Petrov posted the pictures on his social media account, saying “You probably aren’t used to seeing photos like these from my account, but sorry about that.”
**A Glimpse into the Devastation**
The photos show the physical toll taken by the Russian strike. Inna Zhelchyk’s hospital bed is a stark reminder of the risks faced by emergency responders in Ukraine. Pavlo Petrov also shared a message of hope and resilience, saying “We’re alive, and that’s what matters most. Everything else will heal and recover.”
**Honoring Heroes**
It’s worth noting that yesterday marked a day to honor the heroism of journalists in Ukraine. However, it was also a day when three brave rescuers – Pavlo Yezhor, Danylo Skadin, and Andriy Remennyi – lost their lives while responding to strike sites.
**A Heavy Toll**
According to reports, five SES workers were also injured in the Ternopil region. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed, but one thing is clear: Ukraine has faced a significant blow from Russia’s aggression.
