**Russian Attacks on Ukraine Leave 9 Dead and 61 Injured**

In the past 24 hours, Russian attacks across Ukraine have resulted in the deaths of at least nine civilians and injuries to 61 others. The latest assault was reported by regional authorities on July 26.

According to Ukrainian Air Force reports, Russia launched a total of 208 drones and 27 missiles overnight, targeting cities and infrastructure in multiple regions. However, air defenses were able to intercept 183 drones and 17 missiles, preventing further damage. Unfortunately, 10 missiles and 25 drones still managed to strike nine locations, causing significant destruction.

**Regional Reports**

One of the hardest-hit areas was Kharkiv Oblast, where Governor Oleh Syniehubov reported that 29 people were injured, including a child. Donetsk Oblast also saw casualties, with 10 civilians wounded according to Governor Vadym Filashkin.

In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, three people were killed and two injured, despite 414 Russian strikes on 19 settlements. Dnipropetrovsk Oblast reported two fatalities and five injuries, while Kherson Oblast saw three civilian deaths and 11 injuries. A single person was killed and four others injured in Sumy Oblast, where Russian attacks hit 42 settlements.

**Increasing Reliance on Drone Attacks**

The latest assault comes as Russia continues to reject Kyiv’s calls for an unconditional ceasefire and increases its reliance on mass drone and missile attacks to pressure Ukrainian defenses. President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attacks on X, stating that “such strikes certainly cannot be left without response, and Ukrainian long-range drones ensure one.”

As tensions escalate, it remains to be seen how Ukraine will respond to these increased military actions from Russia.
