Eight opposition parties are announcing a rally on September 13. One of the leaders of the Coalition for Change, Elene Khoshtaria, announced the above at the joint briefing of eight opposition parties.
“On August 31, the deadline given by the European Union to the Ivanishvili regime to save visa-free travel to Europe expires. Of course, as expected, the regime has not taken any steps to do so, but has further distanced us from Europe, from the European agenda, and this will continue to be the case, because this regime, the Russian regime, is qualitatively incompatible with our European and Euro-Atlantic agenda, our statehood, independence and European future.
Accordingly, this will continue to be the case until we, the majority of our country, gather sufficient strength and put an end to this regime. Therefore, we appeal to everyone, regardless of political taste, for whom Georgian citizenship, a Georgian passport and the well-being of a Georgian family are precious and who respect the right of Georgian citizens to strive for happiness, to gather on September 13. Let’s come out and say that the Russian regime does not represent the Georgian people, the Russian regime does not represent Georgia! At the same time, we appeal to all opposition parties and opposition politicians who are truly concerned about the independence and European future of this country. Stop being complicit with the regime, do not make the mistake of deceiving the Georgian people, which is worse than a crime. Refuse to participate in the Russian special operation of October 4 and return to unity. We will gather on September 13, at 19:00, at Tbilisi State University and march to the Parliament. We are many and we will fight until victory! “- said Elene Khoshtaria.
