**Russian Attacks Leave Eight Dead and 46 Injured in Ukraine**

Kharkiv Oblast recorded 20 injuries from Russian attacks, including four children in the city of Kharkiv – a 7-year-old boy, a 9-year-old girl, and two 13-year-old girls. Governor Oleh Syniehubov expressed concern for the safety of innocent civilians caught in the crossfire.
In Kherson Oblast, two people were killed and 10 others wounded as Russia targeted residential neighborhoods and social infrastructure. Governor Oleksandr Prokudin condemned the attacks on civilian areas.
Other regions also reported casualties, including Sumy Oblast, where two civilians were wounded after Russian forces used drones and KAB guided bombs to strike civilian areas; Mykolaiv Oblast, where a 70-year-old man was injured by a first-person-view (FPV) drone; and Zaporizhzhia Oblast, where two people were wounded as Russian troops carried out 428 strikes on 14 settlements.
**Ceasefire Proposal Rejected**
The Ukrainian government has consistently urged Moscow to accept a Western-backed 30-day ceasefire proposal, seen as a prerequisite for broader peace talks. However, the Kremlin has thus far rejected this proposal, maintaining its aggressive stance towards Ukraine.
