**Ukraine Faces Brunt of Russian Attacks, 12 Civilians Killed**
Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine has witnessed a devastating wave of Russian attacks, resulting in the loss of at least 12 civilians and injuring 69 others. The attacks were reported across multiple regions, with the worst-hit areas being Donetsk Oblast, Kharkiv Oblast, and Odesa Oblast.
**Donetsk Oblast Takes the Brunt**
In Donetsk Oblast, seven civilians lost their lives, with four in Kostiantynivka, two in Druzhkivka, and one in Novohryhorivka. Additionally, 15 others were injured, according to Governor Vadym Filashkin. This was the highest number of casualties reported in any region.
**Other Regions Affected**
In Kharkiv Oblast, 27 people were injured, including three children, as per Governor Oleh Syniehubov’s report. Two civilians were killed and nine others were injured in Kherson Oblast, according to Governor Oleksandr Prokudin. Sumy Oblast also reported two civilian deaths, while Odesa Oblast witnessed one fatality.
**Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk Oblasts Also Affected**
In Zaporizhzhia, at least 12 people were injured in separate attacks throughout the day, including 10 during a drone strike on the city center. Five civilians were injured in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
**Russia’s Continued Rejection of Ceasefire Proposals**
The mass strikes come amid Russia’s continued rejection of ceasefire proposals and its growing use of aerial assaults to pressure Ukrainian defenses. Kyiv has repeated its urgent appeals to Western partners to ramp up deliveries of air defense systems to protect civilian areas from drone and missile attacks.
