**Election Numbers Drawn for Some Parties in Georgia**

In the run-up to local government elections in Georgia, the Central Election Commission (CEC) has assigned numbers to several political parties. The process was overseen by CEC Chairman Giorgi Kalandarishvili.

A total of 17 parties applied to participate in the elections. Five of these parties were already part of last year’s parliamentary elections and automatically received their previous electoral numbers. These parties will use these same numbers for this election as well.

The remaining 12 parties, however, had their electoral numbers decided through a draw. The two subjects that specifically requested to use their old numbers – but did not apply to participate in the local government elections – lost out on those numbers.

**Numbers Drawn for Certain Parties**

In a surprising twist, the parties Coalition for Change and Unity National Movement were left without their preferred electoral numbers (4 and 5 respectively). Instead, these numbers went to other parties: Georgian Unity received number 4, while Our United Georgia got number 5.
