**Ukraine Bracing for Russian Attacks: At Least 7 Civilians Killed and Dozens Injured**
The situation in Ukraine continues to deteriorate as Russian attacks intensify across the country. Over the past day, at least seven civilians have lost their lives, while dozens more have been injured.
Regional authorities reported that Russian forces launched a staggering 71 Shahed-type attack drones and decoy drones against Ukraine overnight. While Ukrainian air defenses managed to intercept 59 of these drones, 12 still hit six different locations, causing significant damage and casualties.
One particularly devastating attack occurred in the city of Zaporizhzhia, where guided aerial bombs struck a busy bus station and a university medical clinic, leaving at least 20 people injured. A 66-year-old woman was also reported to be injured in the village of Bilenke after Russian drones attacked the area.
**Regional Breakdown:**
In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, three people were injured in Russian attacks against residential areas. The Nikopol district was particularly targeted, with a 63-year-old man wounded during artillery and drone attacks that also damaged a vacation resort, four cars, and a house.
Russian attacks on the Synelnykove district injured a 52-year-old man and damaged two stores and a shop. A 31-year-old man was hospitalized after overnight attacks in the same area.
In Donetsk Oblast, Russian attacks killed two civilians and injured 11 people. The victims included one person killed and two injured in Druzhkivka, one killed in Chernihivka, three injured in Bilozerske, and two injured in Kostiantynivka, Myrnohrad, and Ivanopillia each.
**Kharkiv Oblast Suffers as Well**
A man was killed, and two women were injured during a Russian attack against the Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi village. A 15-year-old boy was also injured in the town of Kupiansk, while an 18-year-old man was injured in the village of Kozacha Lopan.
**Kherson Oblast Worst Hit**
Four people were killed and seven more were injured in Russian attacks on Kherson Oblast. Two apartment buildings and 30 houses were damaged, leaving many without shelter or access to essential services.
**Escalating Conflict**
The continued refusal by Moscow to agree to an unconditional ceasefire has led to a significant escalation of drone attacks against Ukrainian residential areas and civilian infrastructure. As the situation in Ukraine continues to worsen, it remains unclear when this conflict will come to an end.
