In a major move, the Georgian Dream party has presented its mayoral candidates for 63 municipalities across the country. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, who chairs the party’s election headquarters.
According to Kobakhidze, the party aims to strengthen trust in local self-government, which enjoys exceptionally high ratings in society. He expressed gratitude to local party representatives, mayors, and city council members for their dedication to serving their communities.

The list of candidates includes a mix of experienced politicians, entrepreneurs, and civil servants. In Imereti region, 9 out of 12 municipalities will have incumbent mayors or acting mayors running for re-election. Other notable regions include Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, where 5 out of 9 municipalities will see mayoral candidates from the Georgian Dream party.
**Strong Showing in Adjara**
In Adjara region, 3 out of 6 municipalities will have incumbent mayors or acting mayors running for re-election. Additionally, two municipalities will feature incumbent deputies of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara as mayoral candidates.
**Batumi’s Mayoral Candidate**
In Batumi, the capital city of Adjara, the party has nominated Giorgi Tsintsadze, the acting head of the administration of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.
**Confident of Victory**
Kobakhidze expressed confidence in the party’s candidates, stating that they will win elections in all 64 municipalities across the country. He emphasized the importance of mobilizing the election headquarters and party resources to achieve this goal.
